Miguel Vasquez, 46, of 71 Palmer St., Salem, was arrested at 3:20 p.m. and charged with domestic assault and battery at the New England Homes for the Deaf on Water Street.

Edwin T. Marsh Jr., 45, of 29 Hancock St., Apt. 3, Salem, was arrested at 1:55 a.m. and charged with domestic assault and violating a restraining order.
Police received a report from a Bartholomew Street resident at 6:49 a.m. that the license plate was stolen from his minivan.
Police transported a visually impaired man to Eastman Park after police received a report at 1:40 p.m. that a man with a walking stick almost walked into the middle of traffic. Police said the man was dropped off at a different bus stop than usual.
Police received a report of a car break-in at the Northshore Mall at 2:17 p.m. in the Macy's parking lot. Police said the passenger's-side window was smashed and a GPS valued at $200 was stolen.

Police received a report of a car break-in at 4 p.m. at a Columbus Avenue driveway. A pair of sunglasses and cash was stolen.
Michael F. Morrissey, 41, who is listed as homeless, was arrested at 5:30 p.m. and charged with violating a restraining order following a report of a possible breaking and entering at a Curtis Street apartment.
Michael P. Doane, 25, of 171R Pleasant St., Marblehead, was arrested at 5:45 p.m. and charged with violating a restraining order by Salem State College police.
Hawthorne Hotel management reported to police at 6 p.m. that two framed photos that were hanging near the hotel bathroom were found inside the men's room stall. Hotel management suspected someone might have been coming back to steal the photos.
Police received a report of a stolen license plate at 7:54 p.m. from a Boston Street address.

Police responded to 40 Loring Ave., at 12:18 a.m. for a report of a fight but were unable to find one. One of the two people in the fight later contacted police to report the fight. Both he and the other man reported being the victim in the fight.

Raymond C. Matos Jr., 30, and Benjamin Morani, 29, both of 162 S. Common St., Lynn, were arrested at 6:24 p.m. and charged with larceny more than $250 and an open container violation following a report to police of people looking at scrap metal at 119 Rantoul St.
Police responded to 7 Winter St. at 11 p.m. for a report of a dorm room being destroyed.

Erik M. Young, 29, of 5A Ober St., Beverly, was arrested at 12:50 p.m. and charged with leaving the scene of an accident with property damage following a motor vehicle crash on Cabot Street by Bow Street.

Walter Drayton, 55, of 25 Daniels St., Salem, was arrested at 11:20 a.m. and charged with marijuana possession and driving an unregistered motor vehicle and following too closely after a motor vehicle stop on Route 1A.
