Wednesday

Police responded to Witch City Consignment on Essex Street at 4:15 p.m. after an employee reported two men in the store had stolen a number of items worth a total of $35 from the store the day before. Police confronted the two men, and they agreed to return the items.

Edgar L. Manan, 20, of 10 First St., Salem, was arrested at 7 p.m. and charged with domestic assault and battery following a report of a domestic dispute.

Police responded to 10 First St. at 8 p.m. following a report of a bicycle hung up on a tree. Police spoke to the mother of the person responsible for hanging the bike, and she told police he would take the bike down. Police checked the tree again at 10 p.m., and the bike was gone.

Thursday

Police responded to 41 Intervale Road at 10:25 a.m. after a resident reported a television had been dumped illegally on the side of the road for the second time in a few weeks.

Danvers

Thursday

Khllil Abbas, 38, of 37 Montrose St., Somerville, and Mansour Belbachir, 31, of 755 Winthrop Ave., Revere, were arrested at 2 p.m. and charged with shoplifting and receiving stolen property following a report of shoplifting at Famous Footwear on Independence Way. Abbas was also charged with failure to stop for police.

Peabody

Wednesday

Charles J. Dalton, 45, of 57 Roosevelt St., second floor, Revere, was arrested at 5:42 p.m. and charged with driving with a suspended license following a motor vehicle stop on Route 1.

Michael Hiltonen, 24, and Jason Bovio, 24, both of 5132 Avalon Drive, Peabody, were arrested at 7:26 p.m. and charged with shoplifting at Shaw's.

Cleon Oliveira, 33, of 241 Lexington St., Apt. B3, Woburn, was arrested at 10:43 p.m. and charged with driving while unlicensed following a motor vehicle stop on Lowell Street.

Wayne L. Cheever, 54, of 4 Severance Terrace, Lynn, was arrested at 11:13 p.m. and charged with drunken driving (third offense), failure to yield and a marked lane violation following a motor vehicle stop on Route 1.

Eric S. Roberts, 31, of 14 Foster St., Apt. 204, Peabody, was arrested at 11:40 p.m. and charged with attempted murder, assault with a dangerous weapon, and domestic assault and battery following a report of a domestic disturbance at Pump Station Road.
