Peabody

Monday

Danny P. Cerqueira, 26, of 21 Caller St., Apt. 207, Peabody, was arrested at 10:10 p.m. and charged with being a fugitive from justice following a report of a domestic in progress.

A Keys Drive resident reported to police at 10:15 p.m. that there was a man with a gun in her backyard. The resident gave a description of the man and the responding officer located a group of people near the home. The group was stopped and identified, but no gun was found.

Tuesday

Louis F. Melo, 26, of 6 Munroe St., Apt. 2, Peabody, was arrested at 1:55 a.m. and charged with driving with a suspended license, having no inspection sticker and a license plate violation following a motor vehicle stop on Main Street.

Police took a report at 11:25 a.m. that some landscaping equipment was stolen from a Lowell Street address.

A security guard called 911 at 6:44 p.m. at the parking lot of Starbucks on Route 114 because cars were double-parked. Employees at the high-priced coffee store then called police themselves on the man who they say was wearing a blue security shirt and carrying a handgun. Police called the security officer back and asked him to come to the station. Patrolman Gerry Fitzgerald questioned the man and checked the man's firearms identification. The off-duty security guard was advised to not act as a law enforcement officer while outside of his job.

A Parkview Lane resident reported to police at 9:24 p.m. that a past break-in that happened Sept. 9 where a diamond ring and two necklaces, valued together at $9,000, were stolen.

Eduardo D. Mendes, 26, of 71 Adams St., Medford, was arrested at 10 p.m. and charged with driving while unlicensed following a motor vehicle stop on Dearborn Road.

James Stanley Jr., 52, of 100 Forest St., Peabody, was arrested at 11 p.m. and charged with domestic assault and battery following a report of a domestic in progress at his residence.

Wednesday

Eric Duran, 26, of 89 Bridge St., Apt. 1, Salem, was arrested at 1:34 a.m. and charged with drunken driving following a report of a motor vehicle stop on Washington Street.

Marblehead

Friday

Emily A. Roads, 28, of 41 Pond St., Marblehead, was arrested at 10:14 a.m. and charged with shoplifting at a Atlantic Avenue business.

Saturday

Susan A. Fullam, 57, of 48 Humphrey St., Swampscott, was arrested at 8:33 p.m. and charged with drunken driving and speeding following a motor vehicle stop on Atlantic Avenue.

Robert M. Owen, 54, of 18 State St., Apt. 3, Marblehead, was arrested at 11:28 p.m. and charged with domestic assault and battery at the police station.

Tuesday

Samuel A. Easthope, 29, of 7 Prospect Court, Apt. 7, Marblehead, was arrested at 4:28 p.m. and charged with driving with a suspended license, driving an unregistered motor vehicle, littering, marijuana possession and a drug violation near a school following a motor vehicle stop on Lincoln Avenue.

Danvers

Sunday

David Markus, 45, of 25 Baldwin St., Peabody, was arrested at 5:23 p.m. and charged with simple assault at 101 Sylvan St.

Tuesday

David Goldman, 37, of 111 Foster St., Peabody, was arrested at 6:44 p.m. and charged with driving with a suspended license and a traffic light violation following a motor vehicle stop on Elliott Street.

Salem

Tuesday

A woman reported to police at 4:15 p.m. that her son had his sneakers stolen while at the skate park at Mansell Park.

A woman who lives in an apartment at 90 Washington St. reported to police at 7 p.m. that her mountain bike was stolen from the back hallway. There was a lock on the bicycle, but it was not locked to anything.

Wednesday

Police responded to the intersection of Bridge Street by Winter Street at 4:18 a.m. for a report of a fight outside. There was no fight, but police learned the people were coming from a loud party at 144 Bridge St. This was the second time that police were called to the apartment for loud music and guests. The party host was issued a $100 noise violation.

Detective Eric Connolly was on a detail on the corner of Essex and Washington streets when he spotted a car being driven in an erratic manner, including almost hitting two pedestrians trying to cross a crosswalk. Patrolwoman Kathleen Costa attempted to pull over the car, but the driver ignored the cruiser's blue lights and sirens. After two miles, the driver pulled over and immediately got out of the car and approached the officer. Costa ordered the woman back in her car, but she noted in a police report the driver did not understand. The driver produced an ID from Germany. Police plan to charge the woman with failure to yield, driving to endanger and failure to stop for police. The incident is still under investigation.

A woman reported to police at 10:15 a.m. that she attended a wedding on Aug. 30 at the Peabody Essex Museum's East India Marine Hall, and her camera, valued at $2,700, was stolen.

Swampscott

Sunday

Police received a report at 10 p.m. that a man was stealing recycling bins on Foster Road. Police investigated the possible bin thefts and learned the man wasn't stealing the bins but what was in the bins.

Beverly

Tuesday

Christine T. Brault, 46, of 62 Cabot St., Beverly, was arrested at 9:15 p.m. and charged with domestic assault and battery at her residence.
