PEABODY - Julia (Maihos) Hammond, 87, beloved wife of Arthur F. "Sonny" Hammond, who died on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2008, and with whom she shared over 60 years of marriage, died on Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2008 at the Rosewood Nursing & Rehab Center in Peabody.
Mrs. Hammond was born on April 18, 1920 in Peabody, daughter of the late John D. and Sophia (Talembecos) Maihos. She was raised and educated in Peabody and was a lifelong resident of the City.
