Freeman E. Morse, 90

SALEM - Freeman E. Morse, 90, a retired General Electric draftsman, died of congestive heart failure on Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2008 at Salem Hospital in Salem. He was a descendent of the original settlers of Newbury.

Freeman was born and lived in Lynn with his parents, Edward F. and Estelle P. (Small) Morse. He was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School, Wentworth Institute in Boston and Massachusetts State College at Amherst. He was a member of the Phi Sigma Kappa fraternity. After earning a Bachelor's degree in Entomology, he was drafted into the U.S. Army Air Corps. stationed in North Africa and Europe during World War II, where he served as a draftsman, intelligence specialist and aircraft armorer.Read this article in full with a
