O'Connor, Millett named NEC Swimmers of the Year
Kelly O'Connor of Beverly and Ted Millett of Marblehead have been named the Female and Male Swimmers of the Year, respectively, in the Northeastern Conference as the NEC announced its annual all-star team.
The NEC champion Marblehead Magicians placed 10 swimmers on the all-star team: Megan Alexander, Katherine Foley, Katherine Kelloway, Rony McCarthy, Toireasa Rafferty-Millett, Emily Rookwood, Zach Romanousky, Hayley Robb, Stephanie Brooks and Ted Millett.
Beverly was represented by Carolyn Hall, Kelly O'Connor, Kaitlyn O'Connor, Kevin Ranta, Connor Flynn and Abby Curran. Danvers saw Graham Beck, Ethan Collins, Julianne Hopkins, Maura Wilson, Haley Dyer and Robert Chapruet chosen, while Peabody's selections were Mike Diaz, Scott Aulson, Julie Shea, Steve Maruzzi and Brittanni Atkinson. Salem's all-stars were Connor Dooley, Tom Regan, Erin Guard and M.E. Regan, while Stepan Gevorgyan was chosen from Swampscott.
Meghan Beaulieu of Danvers was named NEC Coach of the Year while Salem High won the Team Sportsmanship Award.
