Golf
The Mary Moulton/St. Mary's School in Beverly golf tournament will be held Monday, June 9 at the Beverly Golf & Tennis Club, with a shotgun start at 1:30 p.m. The fee is $135 per player, which includes greens fees, cart, dinner, prizes, a player gift bag and several holes-in-one. Peabody Legion Post 153 baseball tryouts have been rescheduled for Saturday and Sunday, May 10 & 11, at 3 p.m. at Peabody High School. There will also be a junior program for the first time, with players under age 17 as of Dec. 31, 2008 eligible and those under 19 eligible for the legion squad.
