July 25, 2008 12:00 am Masconomet stayed alive in the North Shore High School Basketball League playoffs with a 54-50 win over Hamilton-Wenham last night in Danvers. Chris Splinter paced Masco with 19 points, Colin Burke added 12 and Clay Cleveland had 11. Pat Hendrickson had 15 for Hamilton-Wenham while Matt Cook and Sean Hines each had 10. Manchester shaded Ipswich, 43-37, behind Kyle Donovan, who had 17 points. Mark O'Flynn had 14 for Ipswich. Gloucester downed Rockport, 49-44, as Mike Tomaino and Ricky Gallant each had eight points for the winners. Mike Akers paced Rockport with 10 points. Malden Catholic handled Georgetown, 45-24, led by Brandon Anderson's 19 points. Monday's schedule at Plains Park: Beverly vs. St. John's Prep (6 p.m.), Danvers vs. Newburyport (7 p.m.); Malden Catholic vs. Masconomet (8) and Manchester vs. Gloucester (9).
