Bulldogs' late goal delivers first win

BOYS SOCCER

When the winless North Shore Tech soccer team watched a two-goal lead slip away yesterday, it would've been understandable if they got discouraged. Instead, Tim Gil completed his hat trick but burying the winner with less than four minutes to play — and delivered the Bulldogs' first win of 2008, 5-4 over Fellowship Christain.

"Even I was starting to think, 'uh-oh' but they kept it together and managed to pull it off," said North Shore coach Bob Parsons. Joel D'Ambrosio added two goals for North Shore, which led 4-2 before Fellowship came storming back. Freshman Kyle Olivia dished out two assists in an outstanding effort and Jeremy Caira stood out on defense with a gutsy effort despite a painful ankle injury.
