BASEBALL
Extra Innings in Middleton, the North Shore's indoor baseball and softball training facility, will begin its inaugural Winter Hitting League in November. It is a six week season open to ages 7-15. Individuals and teams can register to play in one of three age divisions, 9U (games on Mondays), 12U (games on Tuesdays) and 15U (games on Wednesdays). The Beverly High Hall of Fame is seeking nominations for the eighth induction ceremony in 2010. RUNNING
The Wild Turkey Race tune up clinic with instructor and certified USATF coach Mike Toomey will be held Thursdays, from Oct. 29 through Nov. 26 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at Salem Common. Brenda's Bosom Buddies will be hosting a 5K road race on Sunday, Nov. 9, beginning at Champions Pub on Foster St. in Peabody.
