Wilmington 20, H-W 15
The Generals came firing back from a two-touchdown deficit, took the lead with a gutsy two-point conversion call, then felt the heartbreak of a last-second loss.
Junior quarterback Andy Duval scored on a 6-yard touchdown run on a fourth down play to cut Wilmington's lead to 14-13, then he threw to Corey Daff for the go-ahead two-point conversion with 1:20 to play.
Wilmington went the length of the field, however, scoring just before time expired.
"It was an incredible game," H-W (3-2) coach Andrew Morency said. "It's a tough one, but I think we can learn from it, the way we came back and kept our composure."
Winthrop 32, Salem 12
Melikke Van Alstyne scored on runs of 5 and 8 yards in the first half, but it wasn't enough for Salem (3-2). Winthrop scored four unanswered TDs in the second half. Chris Beranger scored three times for the Vikings.
Marblehead 20, Revere 14
Trailing by two scores in the first half was just enough to wake up the Magicians last night. Brandon Lee scored on runs of 2 and 62 yards and finished with 121 yards on the ground to lead Marblehead (3-2). Quarterback Nick Haller scored on a 46-yard run, tallied 69 yards on the grounds and completed six of seven passes for 85 yards, all of which went to Taariq Allen.
