ROAD RACE

Brenda's Bosom Buddies will be hosting a 5K road race on Sunday, Nov. 8, beginning at Champions Pub on Foster St. in Peabody. There will be a post entry fee of $22 to help pay for Brenda Forsythe's medical bills. For more information call 617-947-0351.

GYMNASTICS

Amanda Davekos, 10, of Peabody took first place in the all-around at the annual Halloween Classic Invitational meet sponsored by the Yellow Jackets Club of Middleton. Last season Davekos won the Mass. State Gymnastics Championship, which got her an invitation of the Women's Level 5 Junior Olympics.

FOOTBALL

The Beverly Football boosters will be holding a get together at Beverly Golf & Tennis on Nov. 25 beginning at 6:30 p.m. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet and greet former players, coaches, and friends. For more information, call Mike Nardella at 978-376-1041.

Masconomet Regional is celebrating its 50th year and will be honoring all Masconomet alumni at the Masconomet vs Malden Catholic football game on Nov. 13 at Masco. All football alumni are invited to the game, which begins at 7 p.m., and will be introduced at halftime. There will be a reception after the game for football alumni and friends of Masconomet football. The winner of the St. John's Prep-Xaverian Thanksgiving Day football game at St. John's (10:15) will receive the inaugural Brother William Drinan Trophy. The award is in honor of Brother Drinan, who served as headmaster at both schools. Also that day, the St. John's Prep state championship baseball teams from 1999 and 2000 will be honored. Fans and members of the two school communities can also take advantage of a pregame breakfast from 8 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. at the Memorial Dining Hall. The cost for breakfast is $5.00. Game day tickets are $10 for adults and $5.00 for seniors and students. Tickets for the game can also be purchased in the lobby of Brother Benjamin Hall at the Prep on Nov.19 from 2:30-8:30 p.m. and Nov. 23-24 from 2:30-6 p.m.

WRESTLING

Masco Youth Wrestling sign-ups will take place at the Topsfield Fire Station on Tuesday, Nov. 10 and Wednesday, Nov. 18 from 7-9 p.m. The program is open to all youth wrestlers from kindergarten through 8th grade. Practices begin Nov. 30 at a new, wrestling-only dedicated room at Strike One in Danvers. Cost is $85 for K-2 and $125 for grades 3-8 (includes state tournament fee).
