Basketball

The Beverly High boys will hold their 4th annual "Paint it Orange Night" this Friday when they host Peabody High at the Beverly High School Fieldhouse. Free orange Panther T-shirts will be given out to the first 200 fans with a paid admission ticket. The shirts will be ready to be handed out at 5:30 at the start of the junior varsity game. The event is sponsored by Tobin and Sons Moving and Storage.

The Team New England Select AAU program will be held Feb. 10 and Feb. 17 at the Higgins Middle School in Peabody. Players for the U12 and U13 teams will try out from 5:30-6:30 p.m.. Wrestling

The Cape Ann League wrestling tourney will be held Saturday at Wilmington High. There are separate admissions for fans. The first session, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., covers the quarterfinals, semfinals and consolation. The second session, from 5-8 p.m., will cover the final consolations (third and fourth place) and finals. The cost is $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for students.

The competing teams are as follows: Beverly, Georgetown, Hamilton-Wenham, Lynnfield/North Reading, Marblehead/Swampscott, Masconomet, North Andover, Pentucket, Salem, Triton, Wilmington and Winthrop.

Hockey

The Salem Swampscott Youth Hockey will host a fundraiser at the Coco Key Water Resort at the Sheraton Ferncroft. The event will be held Feb. 18 from 4-8 p.m. Tickets purchased at the door cost $25; those bought in advance cost $18. Softball

Danvers Girls Softball will hold a five-session clinic at Extra Innings in Middleton running Feb. 1, 9, 16 and 23. This is for girls who will be playing in the minor, intermediate or senior leagues. The $50 fee will cover all five sessions. For more details, go to www.danversgirlssoftball.com.
