The Endicott College baseball team began the season in style Sunday, with Colin Sitarz’s two-run double sparking the Gulls to an 8-5 win over McDaniel in LakeLand, Florida. Endicott went on to defeat UMass-Dartmouth, 18-0, later in the day to start the season 2-0.
Sitarz had three RBI in the opener while Robbie Goldstick and Corbin Hyde also drove in runs. Matthew Paolo had a pinch-hit double in the eight and later scored on a wild pitch while Brendan Pittsley earned the win by throwing six innings.

Messiah 12, Gordon 6: The Scots (1-4) were doubled up at home on Saturday despite two goals and an assist from Mio Sison. Jordan Heckelmann scored a pair of goals for Gordon while Sam Spellman had a goal and scooped up five groundballs.
RIT 17, Endicott 6: Against the No. 5 team nationally, the Gulls (3-3) fell behind 4-0 after one quarter and couldn’t recover. Kyle Weber, Connor McCormack, Chris McCormack, Jon Morgan and Chris Murphy each had single goals for Endicott.

Endicott slips up in midwest: The Gulls lost to two of the nation’s top-ranked teams at the Catharge Milwaukee School of Engineering on Sunday. No. 10 Vassar tripped up Endicott, 3-1, though Josh Anderson had 13 kills. Endicott also fell to No. 3 Carthage, 3-0, and split a pair of matches in Milwaukee on Saturday.

Endicott loses two: The Gulls (0-2) opened the season with setbacks against McDaniel (5-0) and Anderson (3-1) in the Rebel Spring Games in Kissimmee, Florida.

RIT 15, Endicott 10: The host Tigers rattled off the last five goals of the game to break a 10-10 tie and send the Gulls to their second loss of the season at the Flower City Cup in Rochester. Holly Davis had four goals for Endicott (2-2) and Lauren Todd added two goals and two assists.
