On the defensive side, junior captain Diandra Crowley was rock steady on the back line.

Phillips Exeter 2, Pingree 1: Charlotte Esty tied the game for Pingree (3-3) on an assist from Kerry Zerfoss but Pingree couldn’t hold on. Keeper Erin Cunningham made 13 to keep the Highlanders in the game.

Swampscott 4, Revere 2: In her very first varsity action Sarah Hingston scored to get things started for the Big Blue (6-2-3) while Melinda Wilson, Mackenzie Robertson and Shauna King also had markers. Senior Allison Ryan had a pair of assists at center forward.

Bp. Fenwick 2, Masconomet 2: Rose Fantozzi headed in a cross from Becky Mercuro and Jackie Edgett scored off a pass from Jenny Nasser as Fenwick improved to 6-3-4.
