Marblehead 1, Saugus 0: Sophomore Mia Bongiorno scored in the 55th minute of play to lift the Magicians, who at 8-4-2 have qualified for the Division 2 North tournament for the first time since 2009. Senior keeper Cassie Rodgers made 22 saves in the winning effort while Sarah Katz assisted on Bongionro’s winner.

“It feels like a huge weight lifted off the team, and we’ll have a revived focus in getting prepared for the tournament,” said Marblehead coach@text1SportsBriefScore: Andrew Bub, in his first year as Magicians coach. “Tournament play will be a real unique opportunity for a lot of these young ladies.”

Peabody 7, Lynn English 0: The Tanners (14-0) ran their unbeaten streak to 38 games with seniors scoring every goal on Senior Night. Cayla Bucci had a goal and an assist, Hayley Dowd scored twice with an assist, Victoria Digiacomo had two goals and Christine Feudo and Nicole Pavao also scored. Senior Thalia Cartegena had two assists while classmates Micayla Sabino, Stephanie Breen and Ashley Bettore were key contributors.

Danvers 7, Winthrop 0: Junior Delaney Zecha and sophomore Shannon Pohle each scored two goals as the Falcons (11-2-2) soared. Kaitlyn Bates and Meaghan McKenna also scored and Leah Ciampa and Maddie Mucci split the shutout for Danvers, which hosts Swampscott is a special breast cancer awareness game on Monday (6:30).

BOYS CROSS COUNTRY

Hamilton-Wenham 15, Georgetown 48: Kevin Rutigliano (19:09) led a pack of six Generals that finished together as Hamilton-Wenham wrapped up the dual meet season 7-3. Sam Arhard, Matt Gillis, Michael Allara, Jack Blatchford and Lucas Cruz Nasciamento rounded out the top finishers for H-W.

GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY

Hamilton-Wenham 15, Georgetown 50: The Generals (10-0) won their 97th consecutive dual meet while wrapping up their eighth straight undefeated season and Cape Ann League regular season championship. Emily Weigand (25:47) led a group of H-W finishers that included Claire Paccione, Meg Blatchford, Maddie Lanois, Sarah Duffy, Carrie Goodrich and Emily Horgan.
