HALL OF FAME

North Shore Tech has created a Hall of Fame and will have its first induction in the spring of 2009. Nominations are now being accepted and applications can be found at North Shore Tech's Web site, which is wwwnsths.mec.edu. You can also contact Joe Balzarini or John Lynch at 978-762-0001.

SOCCER

Danvers Youth Soccer is accepting registrations for the U16-U19 spring season. Go to www.danversyouthsoccer.org for details. The registation fee is $90, or $75 if postmarked by Dec. 15. Games will be played on Sunday afternoons starting in April.

Senior Max Mondestin and sophomore Edwin Demoya were co-winners of the Best Offensive Player Award at the Salem High boys soccer banquet. Seniors Brad Duhaime and Jeff Iwanicki shared the Best Defensive Player Award, Steve Bifsha received the Coaches Award and Mike Steeves was named Most Dedicated. Nick Jalbert got the Hustle Award and Andy Cavanaugh was named Toughest Player. Sophomore Dan McCarthy got the Most Improved Award. Iwanicki, Duhaime and Steeves received the Hall of Fame Award. Salem coach Mike D'Agostino, whose team went 10-6-3, also announced that Mike Collins, Mike Shea and Cavanaugh will be the captains next season

BASEBALL

Beverly Little League will be selling Christmas trees at Harry Ball Field in Beverly until Dec. 24. Grade 1 trees (5 to 8 feet) and holiday wreaths from New Brunswick will be sold. These will be available for purchase Monday through Friday from 5-8 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 8 p.m. For more information, please contact Beverly Little League at 978-922-4595.

BASKETBALL

The annual Elmo Benedetto Boys Basketball Jamboree will be held on Sunday, Dec. 7, at Lynn Classical High School. The schedule is as follows: Peabody vs. Danvers, 1:30 p.m.; Salem vs. Bishop Fenwick, 2:15; Beverly vs. Revere, 3; Winthrop vs. Lynn Tech, 3:45; Lynn English vs. Swampscott, 4:30; Marblehead vs. St. Mary's, 5:15; Lynn Classical vs. Malden, 6.

The 16th Paul Duchane Girls Basketball Jamboree is set for Saturday, Dec. 6 at Lynn Classical. The schedule is as follows: Danvers vs. Wilmington, 4 p.m.; Beverly vs. North Andover, 4:40; Marblehead vs. Lynn Tech, 5:20; Lynn English vs. Bishop Fenwick, 6; Peabody vs. Reading, 6:40; Swampscott vs. Masconomet, 7:20; Saugus vs. Lynn Classical, 8.

HOCKEY

The annual Salem State College high school hockey jamboree at Salem State's Rockett Arena will be held Sunday, Dec. 7. The games will be as follows: Winthrop vs. Masconomet (10:30 a.m.), Swampscott vs. Northeast Regional (noon), Salem vs. Saugus (1:30 p.m.), Bishop Fenwick vs. Revere (3 p.m.), Beverly vs. Triton (4:30 p.m.), Marblehead vs. Methuen (6 p.m.) and Peabody vs. Newburyport (7:30 p.m.). Tickets can be purchased by calling the Salem State Athletic Office or buying them in person.
