Danvers 8, Peabody 7 (OT): Freshman Stevie Goutzos scored the game-winning goal in overtime while James Curley made a dozen saves as Danvers (5-5) reached the .500 mark. Down three goals with five minutes to play, the Falcons rallied to send it to an extra frame when Jay Calcagno (3 goals, assist) tied it up with 24 seconds remaining. Matt Flynn added two goals, Shea Doyle had a goal and an assist, Mike Disciullo also scored, Stephen Ganley had three assists and Dan Geary had an outstanding game at long stick middie.
Nick Ouelette scored four goals and had an assist for Peabody (6-4), Keifer Heckman had two goals and two assists and long pole Andrew Najjar had a strong all-around game.
Hamilton-Wenham 9, Medford 3: Christian Ecker scored three goals and Eddie Frick had two as the Generals (5-3) played an excellent all-around defensive game at home. Matt Curran, Steve Turpin, Parker Strong and Griffin Webber had goals and goalie Grant Thompson stood tall with 12 stops.
Marblehead 11, Gloucester 2: Trevor Jones had for goals to lead the way for the Magicians (6-3). Brooks Tyrrell finished with two goals and two assists, while Dean Fader added three goals and Brad Knittle had two goals and one assist.
Xaverian 10, St. John’s Prep 9: The Eagles (7-2) had their seven game winning-streak snapped.
Masconomet 8, North Reading 7: Dylan Mann scored the game-winning goal with a minute left in sudden death overtime to move the Chieftains to 6-3 overall. Cam Jung finished with three goals, while Harry Cwik and Trevor Surette each had a pair of goals. Tighe Van Lenten finished with 14 saves in goal to keep Masco in the game.
Salem 14, Lynn Classical 2: Chad Coelho and Peter Slater each had four goals and two assists to help the Witches (6-4) to a bounce back win after Wednesday’s loss to Danvers. Matt Wilson had two assists in the game and dominated the faceoffs for Salem.
