Monday's area roundup: Hamilton-Wenham girls take down Pentucket

Rockport 73, Bishop Fenwick 69: The Crusaders fell as Rockport had four played in double figures for scoring and improved to 2-2.

Gloucester 73, Marblehead 54: The Magicians dipped to 1-2 on the road. Matt Millett was his team’s high scorer with 16 points while Ciam Saunders had 12 and Peter Tully chipped in 11.

Salem 81, Revere 45: Jamie Dominguez led all scorers with 23 points, including seven three pointers and added seven assists as the Witches improve to 2-0. Rashad Keys dropped in 17, while Justin Dominguez added 10 in the victory.

Danvers 59, Swampscott 27: The Falcons improve to 2-0 after junior center Peter Merry scored 14 points to go along with 12 rebounds. Junior forward Devan Harris added 10 points and four rebounds, freshman Devonn Allen finished with nine points and three assists, while senior captain Kieran Beck dropped in 10 points and seven rebounds.

St. John’s Prep 62, St. Mary’s 56: Max Burt led the Eagles (3-0) to victory with 16 points. Ben Judson (11 points) and Spencer Danforth (12 points) were also key contributors.

GIRLS TRACK

Tigers Sweep: Ipswich’s 4x400 relay of Michael Hedderman, Jill Calvani, Chloe Lindahl and Nora McMorrow won the lift the Tigers to a 46-40 win over Pentucket while Ipswich also beat Masconomet, 49-37. Also winning events for Ipswich were Devin Smith (high jump), Katie Monahan (hurdles), Annie Zampitella (mile) and Emily DeMarco (1000).

BOYS TRACK

Ipswich Splits: The Tigers beat Pentucket, 47-38, and also fell to Masconomet, 51-35, in a tri-meet to move to 2-2 on the season. Ryan Bahar won the hurdles for Ipswich while Michael Riddle took the mile and Nate Glaster came in first place in the 300.

Masconomet sweeps: Four athletes won their events in two meets to help the Chieftains win their first two meets of the season, 58-28 over Pentucket and 51-35 over Ipswich. David Drigo took the shot put with a toss of 43-feet, Regan Charie won the dash in 6.92 seconds, Dan Raphael won the 600 (1:31) and Nolan Rice took the high jump by clearing 6-2.
