Danvers 4, Lynnfield 1: Steve Ganley, Tyler Dustin and Ryan Cassidy (assist) each scored in the Falcons’ win at the Kasabuski Christmas Tournament yesterday. Freshman forward Robert Tibbetts netted his first varsity goal in the third period. Matt Flynn recorded two assists, while Sean Lundergan, Jake Calcagno and John Milne all assists in the game.
BC High 5, St. John’s Prep 2: Ted McNamara and Mark Etherington scored the goals for St. John’s Prep (2-1) which fell to a very deep and talented BC High team.
Cape Cod Tech 3, Bishop Fenwick 2: The Crusaders (0-3) played extremely well but saw the home team score the game-winning goal in the final minute. Freshman Taylor Farrin (Danvers) scored in the first period for Fenwick while fellow freshman Meaghan Carney tied the game in the third period with an unassisted goal. Caitlin Carney (forward) , Sophia Vorias (defense) and sophomore Gabby Dotolo (forward and defense) also had outstanding games for the Crussaders.
St. John’s Prep 60, Xaverian 35: The Eagles (2-0) were led by triple winner Josh Nickerson who topped the high jump (5-10), 55 high hurdles (8.67) and 55 dash (9.65). Other SJP winners were Evan Dombrowski in the shot put (53-2), Joe Luongo in the 600 (1:27.5), Luke Bugler in the two-mile (10:14) and Josh Hubbell in the long jump (19-0).
