Fenwick takes second: The Crusaders, who finished their regular season at 7-0, placed second at Saturday Catholic Central League meet with 361.5 points. Junior Carson Christuk had a personal best in the 200 IM and set a new record at Lynn Tech pool with of 2:02.13. Christuk all broke a four-year-old meet record, previously held by another Fenwick swimmer, in the 100 breaststroke (1:02.35). Connor Christuk was also a double winner inn the 100 free (54.01) and the 500 free (5:09.92).
The 200 medley relay team of captain Bridgette Townsend, Pablo Jimenez, Carson Christuk and Connor Christuk took first (1:55.58), as did the 200 free relay team of Tom Delaney, Nicole DiMeglio, Linsey Andrews and Connor Christuk (1:51.31).
PINGREE 61, DEXTER 33: Sophomore June Kiely won both the 200 IM (2:37.31) and 100 fly (1:13.13) as the Highlanders won eight events and took second in six others while recording 11 personal best swims. Junior Alexa Harrison (200 free, 2:26.59), senior Erin Cunningham (100 back, 1:09.47) and freshman Matt Barrett (100 breast, 1:22.13), while Pingree’s 200 medley relay (2:06.97), 200 free relay (1:48.59) and 400 free relay (4:16.28) also won. In addition, senior Kyle Skelton (200 IM, 2:41.09), sophomore Nicole O’Connor (200 free, 2:50.78), freshman Olivia Gracey (100 free, 1:13.41) and Cunningham (50 free, 25.52) all recorded PBs.
Ipswich 47, Triton 34: Alex Jean-Charles (dash), Ryan Bahar (hurdles), Nate Glaster (300), Michael Riddle (mile), Ryan White (high jump) and the Tigers’ 4x400 relay team each won. Glaster, Neil Coleman, Charlie Gillis and Sean Whooley ran together in the 4x400 for Ipswich, which finished the regular season at 8-2.
Ipswich 48, Triton 38: The Tigers closed out the regular season at 10-0 and haven’t lost an indoor league meet since December 2011. Laura McCormick (shot put), Nora McMorrow (dash), Michaela Hedderman (300), Jill Calvani (600), and Emily DeMarco (1,000) each had individual wins for Ipswich. Hedderman, Calvani, Chloe Lindahl and Devin Smith teamed up to win the 4x400 relay.
St. John’s Prep wins two races: The Eagles knocked off both Masconomet (71-64) and Andover (111-24) at Bradford Ski Arena. Top racers for the Eagles included Joe Cavallaro (21.63 seconds) in first place, Peter Griffin (22.16) in second, Jake Connolly (22.19) in third, Ryan Carlucci (22.25) in fourth and Mike Hayes (22.34) in fifth place.
