Beverly 139.25, Winthrop 127.9: Freshman Kara MacGilvray placed second in the all-around with a 35.55 as the Panthers finish the season undefeated at 9-0 and earn their fourth consecutive Northeastern Conference title. Heather Gomes was first on vault (9.45), first on bars (9.2) and first on beam (9.25). Hannah Rennie placed fourth on vault (8.65) and second on bars (9.1). Freshman Chloe Kavanough was third on floor with an 8.5.
St. John’s 45, Burlington 15: The Eagles improve to 35-3 on the season with wins from Malcolm Mitchell (106 pounds), Michael Dik (120), Hunter Costa (126), Ryan Collins (138), Jared Costa (145), Fred Colberg (152), Ben Dinatale (160), Ian Butterbrodt (220) and Jay Carnevale (285).
MEN’S COLLEGE BASKETBALL
Gordon 73, Western New England 57: Park Thomas scored 21 points and hit five of Gordon’s 11 total three-pointers to help the Scots improve to 11-8. Hans Miersma grabbed 10 boards while Alex Carnes added 16 points.
Salve Regina 80, Endicott 74 (OT): Salve outscored the hosts 12-6 in overtime to upend Endicott, which fell to 14-6 on the season. Tell White and Kahmal Walker each scored 15 points off the bench to lead the Gulls.
WOMEN’S COLLEGE BASKETBAL
Endicott 65, Salve Regina 48: Three Gulls in double figures helped Endicott (15-5 overall) win a conference game on the road. Kelsey Cuddy had a team-best 12 points while Samantha Crough scored 11 and Julia Manning added 10. Crough added three blocks and Cuddy collected five steals for the Gulls.
Western New England 59, Gordon 47: Brooke Kratche scored a game-high 21 points but the Scots (5-15) couldn’t climb out of a 12-point halftime hole. Fredi Nielsen and Skylar Bareford (seven assists) each added 10 points for Gordon.
