Just like Hingham, Beverly has talent all over the field.
Ryan Shipp, Dom Abate, Brendan Flaherty, Andrew Irving, Ty Martz and goalie Kevin Lally were each named Northeastern Conference first-team all-stars this spring. Teammates Nick Albano, Conor Leahy and Dylan Jutras were each second-team all-stars. Lally was co-Defensive Player of the Year.
Many of Beverly’s standouts are seniors who have been contributing and gaining experience in each of the last four seasons.
“Survive and advance, that’s it,” Flaherty said after the win over Wayland. “We just want to keep doing what we’re doing. Hingham is a very good opponent, so we gotta go back to practice and keep working at it.”
One of the bonuses in this game is that the Panthers would likely be considered the underdog.
“We’ll play them hard and see what happens,” Pynchon said.
