Beverly Little League will have winter clinics for players ages 5-8 on Sunday afternoons from Jan. 5 to Feb. 2. The program will run from 12:30-1:45 p.m. for 5-6-year-olds and from 2-3:15 p.m. for 7-and-8-year olds. All clinics are held in the Beverly High School Field House and registration, which takes place at the first session, is $25.


Beverly Little League’s winter clinics for players ages 9-12 will be held Saturday mornings at Extra Innings in Middleton from Jan. 4- to Feb. 1. Registration is $50 and will be held at Harry Ball Field on Dec. 28 for the final time from 10-11 a.m. The program is limited to 60 players.


Masconomet is searching for junior varsity and freshman baseball coaches for this spring. Any interested candidates are urged to contact head coach T.J. Baril by email at


Salem Little League registration will be held on Jan. 4 and 11 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Jackson Hewitt Office (in the Family Dollar Plaza, across the street from Crosby’s Market). Cost is $60 for T-Ball, $110 single player baseball/softball, $185 two players, and $235 for three-plus players. Registration fees will increase after Jan. 11.

Parents of new players need to bring a copy of the child’s birth certificate, a Massachusetts license or current picture ID, and two other documents showing proof of residence, such as car registration and utility bill.
