Thursday's area roundup: Endicott's Crough hits 1,000 career points, helps take down Roger Williams in OT


PEABODY 63, SALEM 23: Antonia Pagliuca (6:09.8) won the mile while her sister, Josie Pagliuca, captured the 2-mile (14:11.1) for the Tanners in their victory. Also claiming wins for 3-1 Peabody were Sam Allen in the 1000 (3:29.7), Macayla LaChance in the 600 (1:52.2), Cynthia Aroke in the 300 (45.4), Rachel Barrett in the 45-yard hurdles (7.3) and Katie Gallo in the shot put (31-4 1/2).

Salem (0-1-1) got wins from Deema Hiljeh in the high jump (4-8) and Desiree Martin in the 45 dash (5.9).

WINTHROP 44, DANVERS 42: Despite a pair of wins from Erin St. Pierre in both the 55 hurdles (9.1) and high jump (4-6), the Falcons fell to 0-4 after Winthrop captured the mile relay and with it, the meet. Catalina Dominick added a win for Danvers in the 1000 (3:18.6), as did Jessica Driscoll in the mile (6:24.5) and Payton Johnson in the 2-mile (13:53.1).


Marblehead 77, North Shore TEch 9: Conrad Ruosseau (55 hurdles, 8.3), A.J. Ernst (1000, 2:42.1) and Mitch Norcross (high jump, 5-10) all qualified for states during in their wins.

DANVERS 58, WINTHROP 18: The Falcons (1-3) won their first meet of the season by sweeping the high jump, shot put, 55 dash, 300, 1000 and the mile. Winners for Danvers included Thomas Brennan (mile, 5:18.6), James Bailey (1000, 2:49.5), Tom Higgins (600, 1:37.5), John Thomas (300, 41.1), Timothy Unczur (55 dash, 7.1), Christian Veatch (shot put, 38-8) and Connor Rollins (high jump, 5-10).

PEABODY 582/3, SALEM 261/3: The unbeaten Tanners (4-0) dominated the distance events to pull away for the win. Erico Cordeiro 600, 1:34.5), Connor Wolff (1000, 2:55.5), Mike Ricci (mile, 5:02.9) and Alexander Marcus (2-mile) all scored first place finishes for Peabody, as did Anthony Cristo in the shot put (42-7) and Christian Cedullo in the 45-yard hurdles (6.1).

Jon Crimble was a double winner for Salem (1-1), taking top honors in both the high jump (5-8) and 300 (38.7). Timmy Ryan was victorious for the Witches in the 45 (5.2) while Jerry Canada was second in both the high jump (5-6) and 45 hurdles (6.1).

BEVERLY 46, REVERE 39: Jordan Rawding (300, 40.3), Bryan Flaherty (600, 1:33.4), Brian McPherson (1000, 2:56.5) and Campbell Wood (mile, 5:02.5) all had wins to power the 2-1 Panthers. The meet came down to the mile relay, which Beverly won behind Rawding, Bruno Caetano, Jake Cahill and Flaherty (3:54.6) to seal the victory.


Bishop Fenwick 125.15, Malden 119.4: Freshman Taylor Pattan placed first in the all-around with a 34.3 and won bars (8.5), beam (8.4) and floor (9.1). Abby Reigner finished third in the all-around (33.25) and captured first place on vault (8.5). Reigner also came in second on bard (8.5) and second on floor (8.35) for the Crusaders (2-0).
