Marblehead 7, Swampscott 1: Eric Powers notched a hat trick, including a shorthanded goal in the second period that put momentum back with the Headers (7-3) after the Big Blue’s Joe Silva scored to make it 2-1. Tim Kalinowski had a goal and two assists for Marblehead while Matt Koopman, Tom Koopman and Cam McDonald also scored and Danny Gieniezcko played well in his first varsity action on defense. Swampscott goalie Trent Gallagher made 52 saves.
MASCONOMET 4, TRITON 1: Mike Castro scored a pair of first period goals while defenseman Joe Griffin and Jared Brann added insurance tallies over the final two periods as Masconomet (5-2-2) rolled past the Vikings on Friday. Goaltender Mitch Nekoroski needed to make just five saves to pick up the win while Brendan Crowther, Jake Jesi, Jake Esposito and Griffin all had assists.
Danvers 138.95, Hamilton-Wenham 127: Lizzie Ranger scored an 8.2 on vault while also scoring 8.1 on beam and 8.1 on floor for the Generals. Julia Bucci had an outstanding beam routine and scored 8.7, while also turning in an 8.1 on vault. Also for H-W, Madeline Dalhin scored 8.3 on vault, Olivia Young scored 8.0 on bars and Jessie Herlihy scored 8.0 on beam. It was the top team score of the season for Hamilton-Wenham.For Danvers, Julia Valenti was first on vault and floor, Jackie Veatch was first on bars and second on beam, Emily McPherson was first on beam and second on floor and Alyson Kelleher was second on bars.
Danvers 137.1, Peabody 108.85: The Falcons (3-0) completed a two-meet weekend as Julia Valenti was first on vault at 9.1, second on bars at 8.55, second on beam at 8.6 and first on floor at 9.1. Jackie Veatch topped the meet on beam at 8.8 and was second on floor at 9.0 and Alyson Kelleher won bars with a score of 9.1.
Charlestown 52, Beverly 48: John Berchoff scored 23 points to power the Panthers (4-4), who struggled offensively.
