Endicott women's soccer team reaches conference title game

WOMENS SOCCER

endicott 4, wnec 1: The Gulls advanced to The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) championship game after easily handling the Golden Bears in a semifinal game.

Colleen Pepin led the charge, scoring three goals for the Gulls. Pepin scored her first after Karyn Plante placed a perfect through ball to her and rifled it into the goal. Pepin added another goal before the first half ended.

The Gulls kept the pressure on with Kayla Plante giving the Gulls a 3-0 lead. Pepin capped off her outstanding day with her last goal after Christine Silva chipped the ball over the top of the defense, where Pepin was waiting and easily beat the keeper.

Freshmen goalie Natalie Wyrsch played outstanding in the win.

BOYS SOCCER

st. john's prep 3, beverly 0: The Eagles spoiled Senior Night for Beverly as junior Bryan Browne netted two goals for the Eagles (14-2-2). Ryan McManus added the other goal and sophomore Brian Keogh recorded his first career varsity shutout. Jordan Bothwick performed great on defense.

cambridge 2, waring 1: Henry Balf scored the goal as the Waring School's season came to an end with a final record of 8-2-1.

WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL

endicott 3, gordon 0: The Gulls (21-14) defeated the Fight Scots (25-19, 25-10, 25-13) to advance to the semifinals of the TCCC. Elyse Barbour had 11 kills and Sarah Allshouse dished out 28 assists to lead the way for the Gulls.

Despite a strong performance from freshman Lauren Kranyak, Gordon finished their season at 7-21 overall.
