Laurie Stephens is off to a great start at the Paralympic Games in Sochi, Russia.
The mono-skier, who grew up in Wenham and attended Hamilton-Wenham High School, won a bronze medal in the downhill race and followed that up with another bronze in the Super-G.
Anna Schaffelhuber of Germany, who won gold in the downhill, also came in first in the Super-G with Austria’s Claudia Loesch second and Stephens third.
This is the third Paralympic Games for the 30-year-old Stephens, who now makes her home in Aspen, Colorado. She medaled in the downhill at Torino in 2006, Vancouver in 2010, and now Sochi.
