Arguably the most exciting player on the North Shore, Keys helped the Witches immensely after moving from Mississippi ... The 6-foot-4 forward averaged 12.7 points, 7.9 rebounds and knocked down 23 3-pointers ...Scored 16 points, grabbed eight rebounds and threw down three highlight reel dunks in a 74-69 win over Lynn English ... Named Northeastern Conference All-Star.

Matt Millett

Marblehead, Senior

Guard

A Salem News all-star quarterback in football, Millett charged up the Magicians’ basketball offense in coach Mike Giardi’s first year back at the helm ... A 6-foot-2, 190-pound guard, he started all 22 games for Marblehead and played more than 28 minutes per game ... Led the team with 299 points, good for 13.6 points per game ... Will play football at Holy Cross next year.

Brian Onessimo

Peabody, Senior

Forward

Team co-captain was extremely consistent for the Tanners ... Led Peabody by scoring 13 points per game ... Scored in double figures 14 times this season ... Named Northeastern Conference All-Star ... Had a season-high 29 points and grabbed 11 rebounds against North Shore Tech ... Pumped in 21 points and pulled down 10 rebounds against Danvers and added 20 points and 13 rebounds against Lynn English ... Carries a 3.98 Grade Point Average and ranks 19th in the senior class at Peabody High ... Intends to major in Engineering and has been accepted into Northeastern, RPI, WPI and Virginia Tech, while waiting on decision from Vanderbilt and Georgia Tech.

High scoring guard had an explosive season for the Chieftains ... Posted 450 points through 21 games, averaging more than 20 a game to lead the North Shore ... Connected on 58 3-point shots this year ... Set the area’s single-game scoring mark for the season when he dropped 44 points — 31 in the first half — in an overtime win over Georgetown ... Named to the Cape Ann All-League team ... Hopes to play college basketball, or do a post-graduate year after graduating from Masco.
