Guard

A three-year starting point guard .... Broke the school record for most steals in a game (10) and steals in a single season (112) ... Not called upon to score as her primary duty, Zecha’s defense and assists were instrumental in the Falcons’ success ... Starting point guard since her sophomore year ... Most important contribution was a late steal against Gloucester to clinch a tournament berth and finished the night with 10 steals and 10 assists ... Selected as a NEC all-star and team MVP ... Plan on studying Engineering in the fall.

ALEX LOMASNEY

Peabody, Senior

Forward

Coach Jane Heil describes Lomasney as “the team’s unsung hero” ... Often gets the assignment of covering the opponents’ top player ... At 5-foot-10, she is a defensive dynamo who sacrifices her own stats for the team ... Helped the Tanners to their first tournament win in four years, scoring nine points and adding 10 rebounds and four blocks ... Carries a 3.93 GPA and is ranked 6th in her class ... Selected to the NEC all-star team ... Plans on studying chemical engineering at Tufts or Villanova.

A three-time Salem News all-star and three-year starter for the Magicians ... Carries a 3.9 GPA and is a member of the National Honor Society ... Continuing her basketball career at Bates College ... A two-year captain who averaged 11 points and 4 steals per game this season ... Drained a team-high 34-three pointers ... Guided Magicians to a state tournament appearance for the first time in two years ... Best games came against Gloucester (25 points) and Winchester (10 steals) ... Leading scorer on the team for the past three seasons.

Developed a crafty post game over the past three years with the Witches ... Ranks 19th in her junior class and carries a 3.96 GPA ... Averaged 11.3 points and 13-plus rebounds per game this season ... Team captain led the Witches in points and rebounds the past two years ... Two-time Northeastern Conference and Salem News all-star ... Best team performance came after defeating archrival Beverly for the second time during the season ... Credits her parents, as well as head coach John Fortunato, as her biggest athletic influences.
