The honors keep piling up for Hamilton's Michael Carter-Williams, who will take his considerable basketball skills to Syracuse University in the fall of 2011.
A junior at St. Andrew's School in Barrington, R.I., Carter-Williams was named the Gatorade Player of the Year in Rhode Island. He was also selected as a first team all-conference player and was the MVP of the National Prep School Tournament.
Carter-Williams, who played his freshman year at Hamilton-Wenham before transferring, is currently listed as the No. 22 player in the country, and the No. 4 point guard, by Scout.com.
Carter-Williams is in for a very busy summer. He's been invited the NBA Top 100 camp in Virginia; the Top 30 Chris Paul point guard camp in North Carolina; the LeBron James top 80 camp in Akron, Ohio; the Paul Pierce camp (for the top 15 wing/guards) in Chicago; and the King City Classic in Cleveland.
