SSU hockey comes from behind to top UMD in overtime

Salem State 4, UMass Dartmouth 3 (OT): The Vikings (3-2) rallied from a 3-0 deficit in the second period and managed to take down UMass Dartmouth as Mark Macdonald scored the game-winner less than a minute into the overtime period. Alex Minter netted his fourth and fifth goals of the season in the victory, while Andrew Bettencourt also scored for SSU. Ryan Sutliffe made 22 saves between the pipes and remains undefeated at 3-0 on the season.


WPI 84, Salem State 72: Brian Ortiz netted a team-high 21 points as the Vikings (1-2) dropped their second straight. Off the bench Anthony Hodges shot 7-of-9 from the field for 18 points, while starter Hamed Akanni earned a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds.


Fisher 69, Gordon 62: The Scots notched their second win of the season last night as they improve to 2-1 on the season.
