Tuesday's area roundup: North Shore Tech rallies to tie Notre Dame


Beverly 521/2, Revere 191/2: Bryce Mitchell (61/2-2 1/2), Sarah Daley (81/2-1/2) and Craig Hall (8-1) paced the Panthers, who improved to 12-0.

St. John’s Prep 246, B.C. High 249: Sophomore Steven DiLisio shot a 1-over par 37 at Wollaston Country Club and the Eagles narrowly escaped with a win. Freshman Mark Turner added a 39 while Colin Natale also shot a 39 for St. John’s (11-2 overall, 5-1 in Catholic Conference).

Pingree 5, Landmark: The Highlanders improved to 4-1 behind a round fo 38 from Alex Silburn and a 40 from junior Gabe Salter.


Bishop Fenwick 3, St. Mary’s 0: The Crusaders qualified for the postseason by rolling past the Spartans, 25-7, 25-21, 25-9. Julie Ywuc had seven assists, Chandler Wilder recorded five aces, and Madison Camelo produced seven kills for Fenwick (10-1).

Everett 3, North Shore Tech/Essex Aggie 1: North Shore (3-9) took the first game 25-21, but dropped three straight — 21-25, 9-25, 15-25.


Gordon 5, Curry 2: Abby Caron clinched the decisive fifth point at No. 6 singled to send the Scots to the CCC semifinals. Cindi Flynn and Lily Drescher won singles matches that completed and Caron teamed with Jessie Dupre teams to win a doubles point. League Rookie of the Year Caroline Hall also won, 6-0, 6-0.

UMass Dartmouth 6, Salem State 3: The Vikings slipped to 3-6, though they did get singles victories from Katie Razzaboni (6-1, 7-6), Tara Garvey (6-1, 6-1) and Hillary Gustafson (6-1, 6-3).


Tufts 3, Endicott 0: The Gulls (7-5-1) were outshot 9-4 at home in a non-league loss. Natalie Wyrsch made five saves in relief.

Plymouth State 3, Salem State 2 (OT): The host Panthers scored four minutes into OT as the Lady Vikings dropped to 4-4-1. Leah Wood and Katelyn Krish had goals for Salem, which forced overtime after trailing 2-0.
