Tuesday's area roundup: Fenwick track off to a fast start


In the second game, Salem State (8-15-1) built a 6-0 lead behind Rebecca Kirgman’s 2-run homer and additional RBI from Michelle Flower, Cara Crowley and Bobbie Dee Regan.


MIT 6, Salem State 5: The Vikings (3-7) fell in a back-and-forth game featuring five ties and three lead changes. Max Gensenberg scored two goals for Salem State while Bobby Bourgeois and Alex Pearsons also had goals and Dylan Svenson played well in net.

Tufts 18, Endicott 13: The Gulls (9-3) cut it to three against ninth-ranked Tufts, but fell in tough game. Harrison Cotter scored five goals and Jeremy Morgan scored three for Endicott. Nick Pinciaro of Beverly had one goal and two assists for the Gulls.


Regis 12, Salem State 10: Erin Riley had three goals and one assist and Kelsey Russell and Kristina Conlon each had two goals and two assists for the Vikings (2-7). Danvers native Ally Spencer scored two goals.
