COLLEGE SOFTBALL

Endicott stumbles: Sam DiBella had three hit and Endicott (13-6-1) scored five in the bottom of the sixth to nearly earn a split, but ultimately fell to Wellesley, 8-5 after losing 11-2 earlier in the day. Rachel Couto, Jaime Corda and Sam Cila also had two hits each and Nell O’Connor struck out three.

Gordon gets swept: The Scots lost both ends of a doubleheader against Western New England, falling 5-0 and 7-1. Gordon dipped to 5-13 on the season, 2-6 in Commonwealth Coast Conference play. Kiersten Bieren scored Gordon’s run on an error.

 

MEN’S COLLEGE TENNIS

Endicott 6, Salve Regina 3: Michael Dolph and Evan Ross each won singles matches and teamed to win No.1 doubles as Endicott improved to 6-5. Timothy Forance and Eric Gandrup won at No. 3 doubles and Sean McAndrews and Michael Lauretano also won singles matches.

 

WOMEN’S COLLEGE LACROSSE

Gordon 15, University of New England 6: Jessica Castelline scored four goals and Gordon (9-3) got three goals and one assist each from Kelly Linehan and Bailey Grinnell to earn a conference road win.

Tufts 15, Endicott 10: Ellie Claymen had three goals, but Endicott (10-2) fell to the 17th ranked team in the nation. Emily Whitney added four goals for the Gulls.

MEN’S COLLEGE LACROSSE

Gordon 17, UNE 16: The Scots won in overtime to improve to 7-6 on the season.
