Weekend area roundup: Peabody lacrosse rallies to take down Medford

Wentwork 15, Gordon 12: Jordan Heckelmann and Jake Martin scored for goals each but Gordon dropped to 7-7 overall.

Plymouth State 13, Salem State 6: Bobby Bourgeois and Andy Rice scored two goals each for Salem State (3-8).

MEN’S COLLEGE TENNIS

Western New England 6, Gordon 3: Zach Hall won at first singles (6-3, 6-0) for Gordon (5-11) which had Richie Amand pick up a victory at fourth singles (6-1, 6-2). Hall and Kenny Gaudio won at first doubles (8-5) for the Scots.

COLLEGE GOLF

Endicott Places Fourth: The Gulls took fourth overall at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational led by sophomore Austin Teal, who had a two-day total of 155 (76, 79) for the third best individual total. Seniors Zach Golojuch (161) and Nick Erlichman (162) were the other top Endicott contributors.

Salem State Finishes Fifth: The Vikings took fifth overall at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational behind senior Thomas Grant, who shot a two-day total of 160 which was good for 10 place overall.

MEN’S COLLEGE VOLLEYBALL

Endicott 3, Daniel Webster 1: The Gulls (18-12) will be headed back to the Division 3 NCAA Tournament after disposing of Daniel Webster in four games (22-25, 25-19, 25-23, 25-18) to claim the New England Collegiate Conference Championship. John Osborne and Josh Anderson had 12 kills each, Tyler Bacon recorded a team-high 34 assists and Mike Coniglione had five blocks.
