Monday's area roundup: Fenwick softball takes down Matignon in extra innings

Bishop Fenwick 22, Archbishop Williams 9: Annette Ruggiero found the cage six times and Tessa McLaughlin netted three goals and dished out six assists as the Crusaders rolled. Caroline Crawford also scored four goals, Lexie Rose had three, and Natalie Emerson and Merry Harrington scored two apiece.

Hannah Durkin and Tori Hernandez had one goal each for Fenwick (4-2), which got solid defense from Nicole Muir and Emily Rocker.

Danvers 15, Georgetown 3: The Falcons improved to 5-0 behind four goals from Katherine Leonard and three goals and four assists from Rachel Trocchi. Meaghan McKenna and Allie Zunick each contributed three goals, Caitlin Tivnan pitched in one goal and one assist, and Maddie McKenna scored once for Danvers.

Salem 20, Malden 1: Alexa Gilbert scored six goals to lead the Witches to a one-sided victory. Emily Coelho scored three times for Salem (5-0) while Lydia Grasberger, Balie Brianna and Elizabeth Rousch chipped in two goals each. Jessica Jellison, Kristina LeBlanc, Cameron Connolly, Victoria Robinson and Emily Londregon were the single goal scorers for the Witches.

Salem’s Abigail Meadowcroft played well in net and Julie Donahue had a 95 percent ball control off the draw.

CAMBRIDGE 10, NORTH SHORE TECH/ESSEX AGGIE 3: Jen Lutes scored two goals and Kaleigh Stratt had a goal and an assist but the Hawks dipped to 0-4 on the season. Jillian Morrell had one assist for Essex Tech and goalie Mogan Cobuzi made eight saves.
