FUNDRAISER
Kathryn Percy of Marblehead and the Northshore Navigators will host a fundraiser tonight. Proceeds from the sale of tickets for the game, at 6:15 p.m. at Fraser Field in Lynn, will support Percy's team, "Kitty's Kool Kats," when they participate in the JDRF Boston walk for the Cure. Kathryn Percy suffers from type 1 diabetes. Concessions, a bouncy house, and 50/50 raffle will be available at the game. Tickets are $6. Olympian Meghan Duggan will join hosts Phil Stacey and Peter Kelley during the North Shore Sports Desk Saturday from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. on North Shore 104.9 FM. Other guests include GDA girls hockey superstar Alex Carpenter, Gary Larrabee of North Shore Golf and Tennis Magazine and Joe Rocha, the head golf instructor at Golf Country in Middleton.
FALL SPORTS REGISTRATION
The Beverly High sports registration and parent information night will be held on Aug. 16 at 6 p.m. for all incoming freshmen and Aug. at 6 p.m. for all sophomore-senior parents and athletes. The presentations will be held in the upper gym. This will be the only two preseason meetings of the year. All athletes/parents interested in a fall, winter or spring sport should attend.

VOLLEYBALL
The 10th annual Benjamin T. Bradley Beach Volleyball Tournament will be held Aug. 14-15 at West Beach in Beverly Farms. Cost of the tournament is $35 per player, which includes the double elimination tourney, a T-shirt and a post-tournament cookout ticket. There are two divisions: a Pro Division of 3-on-3 teams (which can be co-ed) and a JV Division of 5-of-5, with teams being predominately female. Preliminary rounds will be held Saturday and Sunday morning, with the finals in each division being played on Sunday afternoon. Prizes will be given out at the end of competition to the winning teams, tournament MVP, for Best Uniforms and many other superlatives. Raffles and prizes will also be given out all weekend. Registration forms are available at the Bradley home on 3 Dyer Road in Beverly Farms and at Todd's Sporting Goods on 393 Cabot Street in Beverly. Tickets are also available for $12 for those who don't want to play but do wish to attend the cookout.
BASEBALL/SOFTBALL
Sign-ups for the Peabody Higgins Middle School boys baseball and girls softball programs will be held Aug. 4 and Aug. 11 at the Higgins Middle School cafeteria, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. There will be one baseball and one softball team for all three grades. Both teams will conduct tryouts in late August, with the exact dates, times and locations to be announced.
