DES MOINES, Iowa — Shalane Flanagan of Marblehead is at it again.
The 31-year-old Flanagan topped the field at last night’s USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Drake Stadium, winning the women’s 10,000 meter race easily in a time of 31:43.20.
Competing on Day 1 of the event, Flanagan won the race by more than 34 seconds ahead of second place finishers Jordan Hasay.
The Nike and Oregon Track Club Elite runner will also compete in Sunday’s 5,000 meter race, where she’ll be up against another local: former Masconomet star Abbey D’Agostino of Dartmouth, the two-time NCA
