Thursday's area sports roundup: Cennami ties 37-year-old Peabody track record in 45-yard dash

Danvers 75, Winthrop 11: The unbeaten Falcons (4-0) won eight of 10 events to cruise to victory. Winners included Thom Brennan (2-mile, 12:13.2), Kevin Hebert (mile, 5:04.5), Matt Hogan (1000, 3:01.5), Darien Thornell (600, 1:46.5), Matt Kidney (300, 42.3), Ryan Levesque (55 hurdles, 8.6), Joe Manson (shot put, 44-10) and Connor Rollins (high jump, 5-10).

Greater Lawrence 53, North Shore Tech/Essex Aggie 33: Despite the loss, Douglas Wilson (hurdles), Brednad Hurley (300), Dan Crowley (mile) and Nick LaClair (high jump) all had first place finishes for the Bulldogs (1-1).

GIRLS TRACK

North shore tech/Essex Aggie 59, greater Lawrence 26: Rose Crispin and Courtney Remson took first and second place, respectively, in the 50 dash for NST/EA (2-0) while Rosa Quiroz was first in the shot put with a total of 23-8. The 4x400 relay team of Hannah Marshall, Sarah Powers, Emily Crispin and Grace McNally also took first place.

PEABODY 66, SALEM 20: Depth was the key for the victorious Tanners (2-2), who got first place finishes from Pamela Zabala (shot put, 35-8 3/4), Sabrina D’Angelo (45 hurdles, 7.3), Hayley Dowd (45 dash, 5.5), Alex Butler (600, 1:43.5), MacKenzie Picardy (1000, 3:19.2), Julia Merchant (mile, 6:09.5) and Noelle Koch (2-mile, 14:52.1).

Sophomore Deema Hijleh was a double-winner for Salem (0-4), capturing the high jump (4-10) and the 300. Hijleh is undefeated in the 300 this season.

Marblehead 70 1/2, Saugus 11 1/2: Mimi Goetz was a double winner in the 55 dash (7.7) and shot put (31-6) as Marblehead improved to 3-0. Celina Variam (high jump, 5 feet), Olivia Vener (55 hurdles, 9.4), Corinne Mayle (300, 47.0), Paige Ferucci (600, 1:47.5), Kathleen Huber (1000, 3:26.3), Jess Cowan (mile, 6:28.4) and Anna Barrell (2-mile, 13:05.4) were the other winners for the Magicians.

Danvers 50, Winthrop 36: Meaghan McCarriston (6:00.4) and Jessica Driscoll (13:51.4) won the mile and 2-mile, respectively, allowing Danvers (2-1) to knock off the Vikings. The Falcons also got first place finishes from Lexy Bean (300, 47.3), Xanthi Pantazelos (55 dash, 7.4), Erin St. Pierre (55 hurdles, 10.6) and Meghan Kellard (shot put, 33-8 1/2).

SWIMMING

Salem 91, Revere 77: The Witches (3-2) continue to come together nicely as a team in splashing past visiting Revere. Kevin Clyne was victorious in the 100 fly (59.63) as was Melissa Trainor in the 500 free (6:08). Eddie Ortiz also did a great job in the 100 free.
