agateHed:BOYS BASKETBALL

The Bishop Fenwick boys basketball team has had a hard time scoring this year, but the Crusaders figured it out last night in their 65-44 win over Archbishop Williams.

Fenwick started quickly and never let up, improving to 3-7 in the process.

“We were actually up 30 at the end of three quarters. We had 39 points in the first half, and it was nice to get scoring from different people,” Fenwick coach Mike Kane said.

Matt Costello had 16 points and seven rebounds to lead Fenwick’s charge. Dom Luoni also had 11 points in his first game back from injury, and Devin Graham hit three three-pointers and finished with 10 points. John Oliveira played well for the Crusaders, chipping in nine points.

Masconomet 55, Ipswich 34: Senior Brian Reardon hit 4 of 9 three-pointers and finished with 18 points to lift the Chieftains to their fifth straight victory. Masco (6-6) built and early lead and never let Ipswich (2-9) get close. Erik Fyrer scored eight points and pulled down eight rebounds for Ipswich, and Quinn O’Connor added four points and six rebounds.

Salem 70, Winthrop 62: Four players hit double figures for Salem (8-3) as the Witches were led by Emilio Beato’s double-double (10 points, 10 rebounds). Marvin Baez added 14 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists, while Billy Muse scored 18 points. Salem also got a big boost off the bench from David Kazadi (10 points, 8 rebounds, 2 blocks) and Shaky White (8 points).

Revere 49, Marblehead 39: Junior guard Matt Millett scored 12 points and added four rebounds, but it wasn’t enough for the Magicians, who struggled offensively all night. Junior forward Alex Conn chipped in with nine points and seven rebounds for Marblehead (4-7).

No. shore tech/aggie 76, Fellowship Christian 25: Freshmen Paul Lazzaro (15 points), Riley Anderson (11 points) and Mike Mitchell (10 points) led NST/EA (1-10) to its first win of the season. Dan Ramirez added six points to go with his 11 rebounds.
