Swampscott/Marblehead 44, Peabody 18: Senior Jonah Weinstein earned five points for the team with a 17-2 technical fall as Swampscott/Marblehead finished out the season at 6-14. Seniors Sean Taylor (285), Joe Mitlin (160), and Jake Powell (126) also won their respective matches, all by pins.
Rockport 72, North Shore Tech/Essex Aggie 56: Jordan Mendez scored a game-high 27 points, including five three-pointers as the Bulldogs drop to 2-13 on the season. Jasmany Sanchez added eight points in the loss.
Marblehead 121.4, Peabody 111.5: Peabody’s Sam Kinnaly placed second in the all-around with a 31.4 and took second in all four events vault (8.3), bars (8.0), beam (7.4) and floor (7.7).
Endicott 70, Nichols 51: Senior Jen McBrien filled the stat sheet with four points, nine rebounds and nine assists to pace the Gulls (12-8) in the conference victory. Junior Samantha Crough led all scorers with 13 points, while Jennifer White, Julie Manning and Kayleen Whall each contributed with 11 points.
University of New England 75, Gordon 46: Brooke Kratche finished with 16 points, though the Scots (2-18) dropped another one on the road. Skylar Bareford added eight points and Clancey Adams recorded seven rebounds.
Nichols 87, Endicott 85: The Gulls were slightly edged out in last night’s conference loss. John Henault finished with a team-high 18 points, while Lachlan Magee and Andre Makris (eight rebounds) both added 15 points.
UMass Dartmouth 73, Salem State 61: The Vikings dropped their third straight game to fall to 12-9 overall. Justin Nieves had 14 points and Andrew White added 13.
Gordon 54, University of New England 40: The Scots (14-6) put together a pair of wins behind a strong performance from Hans Miersma (11 points, five rebounds). Taylor Bajema added nine points, while David Dempsey grabbed eight rebounds.
Endicott 3, Wentworth 1: The Gulls won their home opener (21-25, 25-21, 25-17, 25-19) to improve to 2-3 this season. Matt Devendorf and Josh Anderson each finished with nine kills, while setters Carter Roche and Tyler Bacon combined for 20 and 16 assists.
