Area roundup: Salem State laxmen remain undefeated by topping Curry

agateHed:MEN’S COLLEGE LACROSSE

Salem State 10, Curry 6: The undefeated Vikings (4-0) never trailed and used a 5-0 run spanning the third and fourth quarters to pull away from Curry on the road in Milton. Kyle Dolan and Ben Melaugh each scored three goals for Salem State while captain Frank Lento had a goal and two assists and Bobby Bourgeois scored twice. Goalie Dylan Svenson was creditit with 10 saves in the victory.

Endicott 13, Amherst 9: The Gulls (4-3) outscored Amherst 9-4 over the final three quarters to hike their record over .500 in a game played at Harvard Stadium. Connor McCormack and Nick Pinciaro each had two goals and one assist to lead Endicott while Sam Ozycz scored and scooped up 12 groundballs. Chris Murphy and Harrison Cotter also scored two goals apiece.

agateHed:WOMEN’S COLLEGE LACROSSE

Lasell 23, Salem State 4: Bishop Fenwick product Bridget Dullea had three goals but the Vikings (1-1) saw the Lasers score the first nine goals of the game in a runaway win. Rachel Calsby had the other goals for Salem State.

agateHed:COLLEGE SOFTBALL

Gulls fall in Extras: Endicott grabbed a one run lead in the top of the ninth, only to see Otterbein score two in the bottom of the frame to win 10-9 in kissimmee, Florida. The Gulls (0-8) also fell to Augsburg, 10-2, yesterday. Shortstop Lindsey Read led seven players with RBI by knocking in two runs while Sam Cila and Krista Fales each had two hits for Endicott, which has two more games in Florida today.
