Area roundup: Men's tennis wins easily for Endicott

Endicott 8, Frostburg State 1: Winning their second straight match in Hilton Head, S.C., the Gulls improved to 3-3 with the triumph over their opponents from western Maryland.

Doubles swept for the second straight day as Clay Arnold/Corbin Tulley (8-1), Evan Ross/Michael Dolph (8-0) and Benjamin Randlett/Eric Gandrup (8-1) won at first, second and third doubles, respectively. Singles wins came from Timothy Forance at No. 1 (6-0, 6-0), Michael Laurentano at No. 2 (6-0, 6-1), Justin Warchavsky at No. 3 (6-1, 6-3), Dolph at fourth singles (6-2, 6-1) and Andrew Zurheide at No. 6 (6-2, 6-2).


William Patterson 10, Endicott 3: The Gulls (4-2) gave up 20 hits while managing just five of their own, suffering their second straight setback at the RussMatt Central Florida Invitational in Lakeland, Fla. Second baseman Harry Oringer and Nick Quattro each had a hit and drove in a run for Endicott while Cody Hall stole two bases and scored a run.
