Toby Hale had an interception for Swampscott, linebacker Jordan James played well and Mike Faia also had a good game at safety.

NEWBURYPORT 38, IPSWICH 7: Derek Chamberlain got the Tigers (0-2) on the board in the fourth quarter but by then the hosts had built an insurmountable lead. Kyle Blomster threw for 119 yards and Aleks Klujic had 64 receiving yards.
