Beverly 4, Winthrop 2: The Panthers fell behind early by two goals in windy conditions on a muddy field, but rebounded with three second half goals to leave Winthrop with a victory.
Peter Coletti scored twice and Leo Feingold and Elias Cadena each had one goal for Beverly (6-5). Senior captain Graham Doherty stood out in the midfield.
”It was ridiculous wind and the field was mud,” Beverly coach Kevin Leahy said. “We took awhile to adjust and Winthrop played hard throughout. They played really physical and were much more in tune with the elements than we were.”
Swampscott 2, Salem 2: Salem’s Alejandro Smart scored the tying goal off a pass from Connor Duncan with roughly two minutes to play. Duncan also scored for the Witches (0-6-3) while Gabriel Andreotolla played well in the midfield.
North Shore Tech/Essex Aggie 4, Minuteman 2: The Hawks earned their first win of the season behind a two goal performance by Josh Zwiercan. Dylan Petit and Bobby Smith each recorded a goal in the victory, while Collin Sedgwick added a pair of assists.
Hamilton-Wenham 3, Ipswich 0: Freshamn Ben Danforthe and senior captain Russell Gregorian each scored in the first half to give the Generals (4-2-4) a 2-0 lead at the break. Senior Aaron Cannon netted a marker in the second half, while junior center midfielder Drew Gallant recorded two assists and keeper Henry Eagar made four saves for the shutout.
Danvers 1, Revere 1: Zach Noring tied things up with 18 minutes left in the second half for the Falcons (6-1-4). Cam Bornstein played excellent in goal against tough Revere team, while Matt Kidney was strong at sweeper.
Peabody 2, Gloucester 2: The Tanners (7-0-3) had a 2-0 lead with 10 minutes left, before Gloucester scored two goals in matter of four minutes. Ben Manoogian (assist) and Kyle Gilbert did the score for Peabody, while Vinny Dos Santos added an assist.
Masconomet 3, Georgetown 0: Jack Heintzelman netted a pair of goals for the Chieftains (10-1-1). Max Craig added the other score and Dylan Zernich recorded the assist.
Bishop Fenwick 1, Arlington Catholic 1: Iftimi Arapi netted the tying goal with an assist from Rashad DaSilva in the closing second as Fenwick (4-5-5) came away with a point despite outshooting the Cougars by a sizable margin.
Beverly 4, Winthrop 0: Senior Caitlin Harty had two goals and one assist in yesterday’s win for the Panthers (9-1-2). Kristen O’Connor and Brandi Duzz both scored, while Casey Cook added two assists and Meghan Berking was strong in the midfield.
Danvers 7, Revere 0: Seven different players — Delaney Zecha, Courtney Arnoldy, Shannon Pohle, Devan Walsh, Allie Zunick, Olivia Davis, and Meaghan McCarriston — scored goals as Danvers improved to 7-3. Goalie Amanda Backe earned the shutout while Katherine Kowalski played well at midfield and defense for the Falcons.
Bishop Fenwick 0, Arlington Catholic 0: Jenny Nasser and Mary Difilippo had strong games on defense for the Crusaders (5-4-2), while Mikayla Pocaro played well in goal for the injured Merry Harrington.
Masconomet 5, Georgetown 1: Senior Kaleigh White had a goal and three assists as the Chieftains (7-0-3) scored four times in the second half to shake off a slow start. Abby McKinley, Emma Hibbard, Sarah Katz and Sophie Reblin also found the back of the net and freshman Katy Pelleteir made 14 saves to collect another win.
Peabody 5, Gloucester 0: The iron clad Tanner defense recorded its fifth straight shutout while senior captain Madison Doherty scored twice with one assist to handle the offensive. Freshman Molly Tansey, Erika Nelson and Lexi Dowling also scored for Peabody (7-1-1) while Caroline Colbert had one assist.
Marblehead 5, Lynn Classical 1: Mia Bongiorno scored two goals, including a penalty kick, and Meghan McCarthy also struck twice as the Magicians improved to 6-2-1. Sarah Cullen also scored and the Marblehead defense of Kelly Mealey, Lucy Poulin, Meg Ryan and Abigail LeBlanc played well.
Ipswich 1, Hamilton-Wenham 1: The Tigers (4-2-5) scored the tying goal in the final two minutes as Maria Balzer finished an assist from Katie Monahan to erase the advantage Hamilton-Wenham earned just 30 seconds into the first half. Ipswich keeper Hannah Lynch stopped 14 shots.
Danvers 5, Salem 0: Senior captain Katherine Leonard had three goals and one assist to help the Falcons (7-3-1) cruise. Anna O’Neill and Nicole Kamens also had a goal and an assist each while Raquel Leslie, Allison Wentworth and Jessica Santana played strong all-around games.
Chelmsford 6, Bishop Fenwick 1: The Crusaders (7-4) had a tough outing in a non-league match with Erinn Johnson scoring her team’s lone goal. Victoria Hernandez played well on defense for Fenwick.
Beverly 3, Peabody 0: The Panthers improved to 10-1 behind two goals from Allie Sheehan and one goal from Amanda Marshall. Kate Silvestri had a pair of assists and Marykate Flaherty chipped in one assist while Sam Lingren played well defensively.
Marblehead 1, Gloucester 0: Hannah Fobert scored off a feed from Eliza Fitzgerald 15 minutes into the game and the Magicians (8-4) held on for the win. Grace Perry, Suzanne McCarthy and Olivia Hazlett also played well for Marblehead.
Danvers 41, Gloucester 31: The Falcons improve to 5-7-1 on the year with wins from Mike Plansky, Wes Milbury, Christian McKenna, Alex Martin and Alex Taylor.
Peabody 48, Lynn English 25: Nolan Franey, Matt Correale, Steve Ferrante, Ted Izzo, Steve Goggin, Tommy Southern, Zach Bille and Bobby Sacramone all had wins for the Tanners (9-5-1).
Hamilton-Wenham 112, Northeast 75: The Generals (4-8) prevailed in a non-league match as Cole Farnham came up with 23 points, Mike Gillis recorded 23 and Scotty Hughes scored 18 points.
Beverly 44, Salem 28: Madison Ballou and Wes Schaejbe each halved their matches to lead Salem, which slipped to 5-9.
Winthrop 43, Swampscott 29: Anthony Springthorpe shot a 1-over par 35, including two birdies, and won his match 6-3 to highlight Swampscott’s day. Noah Maercklein halved his match for the Big Blue (5-9 overall).
Peabody 3, Winthrop 0: The Tanners (11-0) remained undefeated by winning 25-9, 25-15, 25-21. Carolyn Scacchi had 13 kills for the winners while Jillian Defelice totaled 14 service points and four aces. Senior Olivia Summitt added six kills and Ally Gottsegan dished out 13 assists.
Revere 3, Marblehead 0: Maeve Daley recorded six kills, Lindsey Simmons had five kills and two blocks, while Julia Marsten added 11 digs in the Magicans’ (2-9) loss.
Salem 3, Lynn Classical 2: The Witches (9-5) were led by senior captain Hannah Mullarkey, with 10 aces, 18 kills and seven digs. Codey Homan added nine kills and nine aces, while middle hitter Hannah Wilkins finished with five kills and eight aces.
Somerville 3, NST/Essex Aggie 1: Kasey Harris had two aces, 22 hits and three kills in the Hawks’ loss (26-15, 19-25, 25-20, 21-25). Sabrina Napoli added five assists, one ace and was six for six serving for NST (3-9).
Lynn English 3, Danvers 0: The Falcons fell 13-25, 24-26, 23-25 to drop to 0-11. Erin St. Pierre (5 aces, 4 blocks), Shannon Veilleux (3 aces, 11 assists) and Holly Tobin (4 kills, 4 blocks) played well for Danvers.
Beverly 3, Swampscott 1: The Panthers prevailed 25-20, 25-18, 22-25, 25-13. Swampscott is now 6-5.
Governor’s Academy 3, Pingree 1: The Highlanders slipped to 2-7 but turned in one of their best games of the season, falling 25-19, 20-25, 16-25, 22-25. Junior captains Morgan Cusack came up with four kills and four aces and libero Casey Torto contributed four aces and 22 digs. Senior setter Haley Sabino added three assists and some solid play at the net.

Gordon 2, Mitchell 0: Andrew Vandervoort’s goal in the fifth minute stood up as the winner and Kellen Kasiguran also scored as the Fighting Scots improved to 11-1. Josh Spoonhour was perfect in the Gordon cage and the Scots outshot Mitchell 11-1.
