---- — The North Shore Navigators opened their doubleheader against the Pittsfield Suns with a 6-3 loss in the first game last night.
Andover’s John Hennesey led the Navs offensively going 3-for-4 at the dish. Eddie Reese finished 2-for-4 with a RBI and a run scored, while Rob Cashel had the other RBI.
Tyler Leavitt was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just two innings, walked three, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
In the second game of the doubleheader, the Navs shutout the Suns, 2-0 to improve to 9-5 on the year. Andrew Brodbeck went 2-for-3, with singles in the second and sixth innings. Brodbeck and Pat Raley each drove in a run.
Justin Davis gave up just three hits, allowed no earned runs, walked five and struck out three during his 4 2/3 innings of work, picking up his third win of the year on the mound.
