Newburyport 51, Hamilton-Wenham 49 (OT): The Clippers hit a pair of free throws with 2.9 seconds left to tie the game and force overtime as the Generals dipped to 11-5 on the season.

Salem 41, Revere 29: The Witches (7-9) got a tremendous road win against the Patriots, with freshman Maritza Scott and Brianna Rodriguez playing outstanding defense and helping hold the Patriots to 10 first-half points. Scott had eight points and 14 rebounds, Rodriguez scored 11 and Jaclyn Panneton had a game-high 14 points.

Danvers 52, Saugus 27: Freshmen Hannah Llewellyn and Devan Walsh each scored 10 points as the Falcons improve to 11-6 overall. Delaney Zecha finished with four points, five assists and five steals, while Ashley Arnoldy (two points) chipped in with eight rebounds. Senior Sarah Potter helped out with six points and was strong on the defensive end.

Lynn English 68, Beverly 48: The Panthers drop to 5-12, but saw strong play from Jill Stirrat (nine points) and Andrea Zelano (12 points).

COLLEGE HOCKEY

UMass-Dartmouth 6, Salem State 3: The Vikings (10-10-1) allowed four goals in the first period and couldn’t get over the jump at home. Eric Defelice had a goal and an assist for Salem State and Chad Goodwin and Mark Macdonald also lit the lamp.
