Gordon 81, Roger Williams 59: David Dempsey scored 20 points as Gordon (20-6 overall) stormed into tomorrow’s Commonwealth Coast Conference semi-finals. Luke Hamilton and Park Thomas each added 16 for Gordon, which led by seven at halftime and opened up the lead in the second stanza by shooting better than 50 percent from the field.

WOMEN’S COLLEGE BASKETBALL

Westfield State 63, salem State 52: The Lady Vikings (11-15) played gritty defense, holding Westfield to zero bench and just one three-point field goal, but couldn’t overcome a 30-17 halftime deficit and bowed out of the MASCAC tournament in the quarters. Bridget Dullea and Ginny Fleming were Salem’s leading scorers with 18 and 10 points each, and Beverly’s Jen Ashton had five steals for Westfield.

Endicott 68, WNEC 60: The Gulls (16-10) upset Western New England in the quarters of the CCC tournament, overcoming six point halftime hole. Nicole Catizone provided a spark in the second half with three 3-pointer, including a triple that gave Endicott the lead with ten minutes to play. Jen White had 18 points for the Gulls and Samantha Crough netted 15.
