“It was honestly the greatest experience of my life. I met some great guys who I’ll be friends with forever,” Kallas said. “Just playing for this team and still representing the city of Beverly, I couldn’t ask for more.”
Wells can. He knows Kallas, despite being a senior, has another year of eligibility left, and the Gulls head coach knows how valuable another year of Kallas could be.
“He actually has a year of eligibility left, so I’m trying to talk him into maybe doing a master’s degree and playing one more year of football for me because I love coaching him and he’s a lot of fun to be around,” Wells.
For now, Kallas is going to celebrate. If Saturday proves to be his final game in Gulls gear, Kallas can walk away feeling like a winner.
